Four years later and not so hot on the heels of the original Hidden and Dangerous, the sequel sees a return to tactical squad based action.

Set in World War II, you play a team of highly trained British SAS operatives deep behind enemy lines confronting Axis assault with a combination of brains and brawn.

The single player demo allows you to play through a mission melodramatically entitled �Operation Overlord � Blade Dancer� where your goal is to maneuver your squad through a hornet�s nest of snipers and ground based troops to rendezvous with a trapped team of American soldiers.

The default keyboard controls were frustratingly convoluted and required timely reconfiguration before they made even the slightest bit of sense. Even then you�re on your own without any readme files or online manuals explaining how to play.

Fumbling around through trial and error for a while I finally achieved something resembling entertainment but I never did get around to comprehending the mystifying tactical map.

Another problem is that your AI allies aren�t exactly rocket scientists and will frequently collide with each other, block up your routes, and inexplicably engage in suicide missions by charging out into the open like headless chickens.

But overcome the initial hurdles and steep learning curve and you�ll discover an intriguingly addictive game. The graphics are impressive and realistic textures blend well with attention to period detail to create a realistic looking environment.

The sound was not neglected either with the snap and whistle of a distant sniper rifle and the stuttering of machine guns captured with fidelity. There are a broad range of allied and enemy weapons for you to toy with and despite containing only one level, the demo offers four different difficulties which depending upon your tolerance for repetition, can afford you a decent amount of gameplay.
