Today class, we will be delving into the depths of tactical espionage and the modern-day ability to protect the national security of the United States and its interests, and we also have a special guest with us today; his name is Sam Fisher, he is an agent with the National Security Agency and he can kill you in approximately 15 seconds with his pinky�everybody say �Hi.�

Ubi Soft Entertainment developed the original game Splinter Cell based on storyline from the mind of Tom Clancy (Sum of All Fears, Shadow Warriors, among many others) for play on the X-Box starring NSA agent Sam Fisher, and was an instant hit among the console gaming community with its realistic settings and Metal Gear Solid / Syphon filter esque motif.

But what set this game apart from all others was its true basis on stealth maneuvering. The game got you in the mood to sneak around and gave you the instant rush of getting busted, for example getting caught by some sappy security guard while tapping into a lab computer. Not only was the sneaky part cool, but you had a large assortment of gadgets like night-vision goggles and fiber-optic cameras, not to mention wild moves like jumping into the splits up against close walls and watching unsuspecting characters pass underneath you, totally oblivious to your presence.

Now PC gamers can enjoy Splinter Cell without having to shell out a massive amount of clams, cause it�s comin� to your desktop, baby!

So you may be asking �Ports from console to PC suck ass, why should I even bother?� Well that�s true in most cases; however, this is one port that you do not want to miss. From the time I installed it to the time I finished it, Splinter Cell held my interest one hundred percent and wouldn�t let go, like some rabid dog that just busted you sneaking into his backyard and has a hold of your leg.

This game is perfectly converted and easy to customize to your specific style, and graphics wise it holds not just a candle to the X-Box�s version, but a friggin flamethrower. The shadow effects and lighting engine are beautiful, running on my system without a hitch whatsoever. Splinter Cell�s background and surrounding environments boast enormous amounts of interactivity, the character voice-overs and acting are magnificent, and it has a very well thought-out storyline.

I would recommend this game to anybody, even to my grandma if her computer could handle it. If you don�t get it, shame on you! Shame!
